I am a 23-year-old native English speaker originally from South Africa, where I was born and raised, and I have a certificate in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) that I earned after completing a rigorous training program, along with one year of hands-on experience in a classroom setting.

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a full year in China, where I not only taught ESL (English as a second language) to eager students but also dedicated time to learning to speak a basic level of Chinese, which has been a challenging yet rewarding experience.

I constanty had to adjust my teaching methods for the wide range of ages and English leves. This made me very adaptable in the classroom and built my confidence as a teacher. My teaching experience has focused on beginner level English, conversational, exam preparation, buisness and travel English.

I am a patient and attentive teacher. I belleve in making my classes a comfortable learning environment for my students and laying down solid foundations for learning the language. This will not only make the student feel confident in their ability to speak, but alseko make learning easier. I like to create a solid structure that is tailored for each student best outcomes. Being able to use your English language skills in real life situations is the ultimate reward!
